Baskets & Bins, Oh My!!!

When it comes to organizing, I find myself always moving towards baskets and cute little bins. As I'm in the process of remodeling and finding new ways to organize my son's room (the process has been slow) I have realized I am in love with many stylish and colorful storage and the use of cute labels to adorn them. This my friends, makes it so difficult for me to make decisions. I always find myself asking for other's opinions because it will take me months before a choice is made. I think if I could make up my mind, I'd be done with my son's room already!! :)

I just wanted to share some great finds I have discovered along the way. There are soo many fun and stylish ways to organize your any room of your house with baskets and bins.

Since my first big project is my son's room here are a few that I thought love and would be great for a child's room.

These great wire baskets can be used for many purposes. It could simply be a hamper for your little one's dirty clothes or you can even make it more functional as an area to toss all of their stuffed animals or even outdoor balls, bats, etc.

If you want to try something more fun and with a pop of color these Joann Crates took a unique twist. The author of this blog called Crazy Little Projects was on the hunt for bookshelves in the colors to go with her son's room. When she came across unfinished crates she took it upon herself to come up with an amazing storage solution and she nailed it.
Check out her blog for  a full tutorial.

I absolutely love this idea to use a vintage basket to store books on top of a dresser. It's a perfect way to display all of your child's favorite books or even smaller toys.

Of course there are endless options when it comes to using baskets and bins for storage. I think that's why I love them so much!! You can even add sweet and simple tags to make them even more useful.

Pinterest, My New BFF

Wow, it feels like forever since I've been able to blog. For some reason I was unable to access my blog and I have been wanting to write something down now for awhile. It seems like whenever I come up with a good idea or something fun and creative I want to try I instantly want to blog about it... but I COULDN'T!!! It has been driving me crazzzzy!! But I was so excited when I gave it one more try and TA DA!!

Anyways I have recently become an addict of the infamous "Pinterest". Oh yes, my addiction is my BFF!! I love that website, there is soo much inspiration everywhere you look. While exploring I have come across some great blogs that I absolutely adore and admire them for their creativity. To name a few of my favorites I'd have to say Shanty-2-Chic & Iheart Organizing. These ladies have my mind spinning and a list of DIY's projects to do!! If you haven't come across these blogs they are a must... I strongly encourage you!! I'm sure once I get around to completing some projects I will be posting about them for sure!!

Father's Day is just around the corner and I have been trying to come up with some cute projects. Going back to Pinterest I came across some darling pictures like these. I was unable to locate that exact source through the picture, but I have seen a few different ways of doing this all over Pinterest. A cute photo shoot of your kiddos holding one letter (ex. D, A) and then with a little photoshop attach each photo together to create something darling that spells out DAD! Sooo I picked up a letter D and a letter A at Hobby Lobby. Dressed my son up in a cute little outfit and snapped away with him holding each letter. It was a challenge to get him to cooperate considering it was getting VERY close to naptime, but I was able to get a few good shots!!
 Here are a few....

Of course I had another picture of him posing with the letter D, but I think you get where I was going!! I was originally planning on putting it together in a manly frame, but I decided to have it printed on a travel coffee mug online at Walgreens. I figured my husband would get a lot more use out of it that way anyways. I have a few more projects up my sleeve for Father's Day, but for now that is what have. I think I need to get crackin'... I'm very bad at procrastinating!! :)
